Introduction
Photronix was founded in 1997 by Alan Millard with the simple aim of developing long term customer partnerships for the manufacture of high quality printed circuit boards.
In 2023 Photronix was acquired by STARTEAM Global to become STARTEAM Global UK, with Alan continuing to lead the team at their headquarters in Sussex.

Alan millard
Sales Director UK
Alan Millard has been working in PCB manufacturing since the early 1980s. He started at Excellon International as a trainee CNC driller/programmer. He progressed into supervisory and management roles at Artetch Circuits, PL Circuits and MBM Technology. It was then a natural progression to move into technical sales, joining PR Circuits for 5 years.
Roles at Ipswich Electronics and Anglia Circuits followed but Alan realised that the next step would have to be to form his own business.
He founded Photronix in August 1997 and the company is going from strength to strength thanks to their close partnership with manufacturers in China and the wealth of experience in the UK team.
Emma greenfield
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Emma Greenfield has been working in the PCB industry since 1987. She started at ACS Industry Ltd working in production and then moved into sales where she developed a deep understanding of PCB products and processes.
Emma joined Photronix in 2002 within a sales capacity, progressing to her current position of Sales Director where she has been instrumental in developing the company to its current successful status.

andy lorimer
technical/qa manager
Andy has been involved in PCB manufacture for over 25 years and loves leaving at the end of the week with a smile on his face knowing he’s achieved STARTEAM Global UK’s high standards. Fun fact : the PCB was invented in the 1890s by Paul Eisler.
steve boniface
customer support engineer
Steve started in PCB manufacture in the 1980s loves answering customers’ tough engineering questions. One of his achievements is that he made the flex boards found in Formula 1 steering wheels for Williams Racing.
jack lorimer
process operative
Jack is the newest member of the STARTEAM Global UK team and is kept busy inspecting boards and packing them ready for dispatch to customers. He’s a keen Brighton & Hove Albion fan and also plays football himself.
