What are rigid PCBs?
A rigid printed circuit board is a traditional board which doesn’t bend or flex in any way. It can be single-sided, double-sided or multilayer, depending on the application.
Copper tracks are used as electrical conductors for the components which are mounted onto the boards. On a single-sided board the copper tracks are only one one side, whereas double-sided boards use through-hole technology to connect circuits on both sides. Multi-layer boards have many layers of tracks and at Photronix we can deliver boards with up to 100 layers.
Advanced technologies such as Plated and Filled Via Holes (POFV), embedded components, laser drilling and HDI capability place us at the forefront of rigid PCB manufacturing.
Features of rigid PCBs
Durability
Rigid printed circuit boards are the most durable due to the materials used in their manufacture. They are robust for assembly and easy to fit into the final article.
Low Cost
Since they use traditional manufacturing processes, rigid PCBs are often the cheapest to produce, both for prototype batches or large volumes.
Speed of Manufacture
Our quick turn facility offers an express service for one and two-layer rigid boards of 24 hours plus delivery.
Automatic Assembly
Rigid PCBs are ideal for automated assembly production models.
Our Chinese and Thai manufacturing facilities combined with ISO 9001 accreditation means that we can ship high quality rigid PCBs anywhere in the world quickly and cost effectively, enabling you to get the product you want at a price that won’t blow your budget.
